Happy Summer, Third Grader!
I hope you are having a great, well-earned summer break. It was wonderful being able to meet you and work with you while you were in Mrs. Tindol's class. I was both thrilled and blessed to get to know you, my future class!
As some of you may remember, last year I won a grant for some Chrome Books from CenturyLink and you will be the first class to work with them and so some small and bigger projected during class time with them! This will also help with Accelerated Reader, as I only have two computers last year and we had a little bit of wait time. Not this year! I'm very excited to start playing with them and teach you some new tricks!
I feel it is important to be up front with my class and let you know any big or important news right away. Early this summer, I found out I am going to be having a baby in February sometime, so I will be gone for around ten weeks. The classroom substitute has not been picked out yet, but I am fully confident that anything I leave for the sub to teach you, she or he will be able to manage it!
I am really looking forward to all the fun things I have stored for our class this year, and getting to have you as part of my own class this year! Our open house is on August 29th, at 6:30 p.m., so feel free to stop in with mom or dad and drop off your school supplies if you have them. Our first day of school is September 5th, right after Labor Day.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and that it continues to be safe! See you soon!
