On January 1st, there is a 4% increase in the cost of plots. Each plot can support one casket and two cremains. It was suggested that there be an announcement for cemetery clean up on September 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. It will be announced at church and in the bulletin. Mark will continue to work with Mary on the cemetery guidelines. Records of burials are being better kept. The goal is to have them digitalized at the cluster office. - Balance and P&L – The balance is currently $4,848.94. Approximately $500 is left from a donation for altar supplies. Fr. indicated that re-plating the chalice/cup will be close to the same as purchasing new. Fr. will look for something nice for the parish and will share his suggestion with council members before purchasing.
- Weekly contributions – Weekly contributions have been consistent with the budget.
- Budget – The budget is on track to balance. The next council meeting will take time to review the budget for 2021-2022.
- Corporate Board Meeting – A corporate board meeting will be held to approve the budget when it is developed.
- Facilities update – The breaker in church is not bad. It turns out that there is an apparent short somewhere with the outside electrical that has been causing the breaker to trip. That breaker has been turned off, resulting in no problems with the other breakers. Ballasts and bulbs have been purchased and are on hand in storage. A wire has been trenched underground to the shed to provide power for staring the snow blower. The electrician donated his time to install. It was suggested to send a thank you card. The prison staff has agreed to mow the lawns around the church and the cemetery again this year. Mark will pick up a couple of push mowers for them to use. They are appreciative of receiving the mowers. They will cut some low-hanging branches to allow them to get under the trees to mow.
- Council Membership – It was suggested to have a reminder in the bulletin for new members on the councils. It will also be included in the weekend announcements.
- Cemetery Issues – Mark asked for assistance in maintaining the cemetery books. Mary offered to provide assistance. She asked Mark to let her know the next time there is a burial, so she can observe the process. Cemetery by-laws/guidelines were reviewed. There is a 4% increase annually on the cost of a plot. It is currently $353 for a resident and $895 for a non-resident. There was discussion about who should be allowed to purchase lots in the future, as there appears to be about 28 lots open. Of those lots, 18 would allow for full burial as some lots are in areas that cannot use a backhoe. Each plot allows for one burial, with a cost of $100 for each additional burial. A plot can support one casket, if buried first, and two cremains. Digging the grave is an additional cost. It runs about $600-$700 for a casket and $150 for cremains. It was suggested that the secretary at the cluster office develop a system on the computer to monitor and track graves. Bob will speak with Tamara about this. A motion was made by Mark to sell plots only to parish members as defined in the by-laws. It was seconded by Pat. The motion passed. A committee will make revisions to the cemetery by-laws and submit them for approval at the next parish council meeting.

New Business:
- Proposed Mass Times Changes – It was explained that the feedback received from parishioners throughout the cluster has been submitted to Bishop Powers, along with suggested models for offering Mass on the weekends that would reduce Fr. Papi’s responsibilities from six to four Masses. The models include reducing Masses for some parishes to only twice a month and having another priest offer assistance so Mass would be available every weekend in each parish. Having Mass every weekend is the preferred option by everyone involved in the discussion.
- A parishioner from Forest Lake, MN, indicated the desire to make a donation to the parish for whatever is needed. Fr. Papi will review liturgical needs and make a list for possible purchases.
